Artist's Comments
Part of my work from my 2006 degree show. It's my unseen interpretation of Mike Kelley's 1983 performance "Confusion: A Play in Seven Sets, Each Set More Spectacular and Elaborate Than the Last." Pilot 1 Theater, Los Angeles. It represents an attempt to capture in definite line a deliberately ephemeral moment, of which I acquired only the most basic knowledge of.
This work was shown alongside several dozen others, tightly packed onto the walls of an enclosed space, with a television looping a short performance. |
