Artist's Comments
The first drawing in The Purple Glob series.
These images germinated from an idea contained in Mike Kelley's book of proposals and notes, in which he proposed a television short for a new MTV imprint channel. From these undeveloped notes, a new world of imagery and narrative could be explored- touching on the issues originally explored, of paranoia, alien abduction, sexual repression; and those of authorship, of the nature of images and narrative.
